3rd Station of the Cross: The First Fall

Therefore I gave man a weak nature, so that he might cling to Me and seek support and strength in Me. 

Every fall—even the smallest—is caused by departing from Me and relying on himself. One cannot rely on that which does not exist on its own, which does not stand on its own. And one cannot rise on its own, because no human being possesses such strength in sufficient measure. The desire to rise is already a cry for help. It is already a turning to Me, for all good and all righteousness comes from Me. Everything that befalls man, everything that happens to him, can be used for good. For his good and for the good of others. This includes a fall when it leads to repentance, penance, and atonement. And especially when it leads to adherence to Me and submission to My will and My Love. Falls are allowed for repentance and conversion to the path of humility and trust in Me.

No one will harm you if your soul is in Me. Only you can harm yourself if you distance yourself from Me. It is then that what others do becomes harm to you, and you see it in them.

Your weakness is not an obstacle for Me to use you according to My will. The obstacle is only your lack of devotion to My Love and your unwillingness to submit to My will. It is enough that you desire to be My instrument, and you will become one, as Mary did. Carry Me within yourself, like Her, and guard and rejoice, and gaze upon Me, so that you may continually give birth to Me for the world and give Me to people. Like Her.

And so that you will not turn away even when they crucify Me – in you or in others. Desire to remain faithful to the calling I have given you, and rejoice in it. Behold, I am your strength, and I will fulfill your calling to serve the Kingdom of Love on earth. Holy is My will within you, and holy are the deeds I accomplish through you. Holy am I, whom you carry despite your weakness and your sinful human nature.

Rejoice in this and see the great deeds I accomplish through you, despite your misery. See in others also, and perhaps above all, what I do through them. Notice My deeds and rejoice in them, not in their sinfulness and misery, which so often sadden you. I am the Lord, and My will will be done, despite the evil and misery of the world. Blessed are those who desire to accept it and become witnesses of My Love and My Mercy.

Trust! I have conquered evil, and the Kingdom of Love is open to everyone.

The greatest evil turns into good in My hands. Just as it happened with My crucifixion – the greatest sin of humanity. Therefore, do not fear evil. Go toward it with Me in your heart, completely devoted to Me and giving Me what you are given to know and experience. I have conquered evil, and it is not where I am. There is no evil where I am, even if your body, your mind, and your heart may feel differently. Trust My Word more than your own body, your own mind, and your own heart. Trust My Love and Wisdom, which is in everything and above everything.
